We ask you to help your children enjoy their cricket by adhering to the following guidelines:
  • Encourage your child to learn the rules and play within them.
  • Help to set a good example by recognising fair play and applauding the good performances of all – especially the opposition.
  • Help your child to recognise good performance, not just results.
  • Discourage unfair play and arguing with officials – please draw their attention to the players' code of conduct.
  • Never punish or belittle a child for losing or making mistakes.
  • Use correct and proper language at all times.
  • Publicly accept officials' judgements.
  • Support your child's involvement and help them to enjoy their cricket, never forcing your child to take part.
  • Accept the instruction from coaches at all times.
  • Ensure that your child wears the correct clothing at all times, and where necessary, the correct protective equipment when required.
  • Ensure that your child looks after the equipment provided by the club.
  • Inform the Junior Secretary of any relevant medical condition e.g. heart problem, asthma, etc.
  • Inform the team manager if your child is unable to attend a match for which he/she has been selected in as timely manner as possible.
  • Please remember that children are not mini adults.
